During this stage of the BI initiative Altimus will spend the time with members of your organisation learning about the business and the organisational culture behind the business. With this understanding we can apply our expertise and advise on decisions about what to measure. Altimus will be able to advise you on the most suitable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Balance Scorecards and other Metrics specific to your organisation.
This phase will also include some thought around presentation of information: graphics and pictures or numbers. Would a specialist dashboard be appropriate or will lists of numbers in Excel suffice? Should you use a balanced scorecard or a different methodology?
Altimus will advise and guide on all of these issues taking on board what your organisation wants as well as the embedded organisational culture. With these decisions reached you will then move into the Implement phase of the BI Cycle.
